Alright, folks, let me tell you about the lovely time I had with Greig and Lloydette for their engagement shoot. As a Birmingham wedding photographer, I’ve seen it all, but this session at Warley Woods was something special. Now, if you’re thinking about getting your own engagement photo session done, buckle up and let me take you through this wet yet wonderful day.

We arranged to meet at Warley Woods, a gem of a spot in Brum, perfect for capturing those candid pictures that really show the love between a couple. Typical British weather decided to make an appearance, and it lashed it down to start with. But hey, who doesn’t love a bit of rain?

Since the rain wasn’t letting up, we took refuge in the cosy little coffee shop on-site. Over a hot cuppa, we got the chance to chat about their upcoming wedding day. I always say, these moments are golden. It’s where I get to know the couple, their story, and their vision for their wedding photography. We talked about everything from the bridal portrait sessions to the full-day wedding photography coverage they were after. It was clear they wanted a blend of artistic wedding photography and those candid wedding photographer shots that capture genuine emotions.

The rain eventually eased off, and we ventured out to get some shots. Warley Woods was looking lush, the perfect backdrop for some vintage wedding photography vibes mixed with modern wedding photography flair. We wandered around, capturing those natural, unposed moments. Greig and Lloydette were absolute naturals in front of the camera.

As a documentary wedding photographer, I thrive on capturing the essence of the day, and it’s clear that Greig and Lloydette’s wedding is going to be a joy to shoot. Their enthusiasm and love for each other shone through, even on a drizzly day in Birmingham.

So, if you’re looking for a wedding photographer near me, whether it’s in Wolverhampton, Shropshire, or Staffordshire, you know where to find me. And remember, rain or shine, it’s all about capturing the love and joy of your special day.

Can’t wait to see these two tie the knot in a few weeks! Stay tuned for more stories and wedding photography tips.

Cheers, Matt.
